Beth Knorr | Oregon Pacific Bank

Beth Knorr | SVP, Director of Trust Services

Beth KnorrThe professionals in our Trust Services department are there for families in times of crisis, and the bonds they build with clients can be very close.

“In this position, we become almost like family members,” says Beth Knorr, Senior Vice President and Director of Trust Services. “It really is a very personal job. It’s a huge responsibility and fosters some deep relationships.”

After all, clients are entrusting what’s most important to them: the care of themselves and family members in cases of death or incapacitation, as well as the handling of what may be a lifetime of assets. Beth says being able to help clients and their families is what she enjoys most about her job.

“They come here with situations that seem overwhelming to them,” she says. “As a trust officer, you get to be the problem-solver, using your knowledge and experience.”

Beth joined Oregon Pacific Bank in 2012 as a trust assistant. She’s now Director of Trust Services and recently celebrated her 20th anniversary working in trusts.

“It’s been a great position,” she says. “I’m absolutely loving it.”

Beth is also happy to be living in the Medford area, where she’s lived since she was 11 years old. She was born in Newport and lived in Oregon for most of her life. She and her husband have family nearby, and she wouldn’t choose to live anywhere else, in part because Medford still has a small town feel and lots of recreation opportunities.

“We have everything you could possibly need,” she says. “You can hike, you can boat, you can fish – anything you want to do outdoors, we have here.”

Beth says she and her husband are “crazy DIYers.” When they’re not working on a project around their property, they like to take their RV out and find a nice place to relax along the river. She’s also a big fan of the Britt Music and Arts Festival in Jacksonville.

Beth also devotes time to community interests. She’s currently treasurer for the Rogue Valley Manor Foundation, which supports the residents of the Manor, and is secretary of the Southern Oregon Estate Planning Council that aims to keep professionals apprised of developments in the industry.

Estate planning is important for everyone, Beth says, and she’s glad for the opportunity to serve new clients, assess their unique situations and help them prepare for the future.

“I love that this job is never boring,” she says. “There is always something new to learn and new people to meet.”
