Dea Ann Frazier

Vice President, Trust Officer
Florence Branch

Dea Ann Frazier helps clients with everything from managing finances and maintaining property to handling tax returns and even taking care of pets.

“Every client is different,” she says. “Our service is very individualized, based on the answers people provide when we ask: ‘What do you need from us and how can we help you?’”

Dea began working at OPB in 2014. Before that, she worked as a legal assistant and law office administrator in Sacramento for 25 years. She began her career with us as a bank teller, then transferred to Operations Support before joining our Trust Services team in 2016.

“I enjoy working in the Trust Services department,” she says. “It’s in my wheelhouse coming from a legal background.”

Dea says she also enjoys meeting with clients and consulting them on estate plans, so that they’re prepared when a situation arises.

“It enables us to get to know them, and they get to know us. And it allows us to step in and help right away,” she says. “It gives people peace of mind.”

Dea says one area she focuses on is taking steps to protect potentially vulnerable clientele. Scammers and illicit contractors frequently target older people, for example.

“We serve as a gatekeeper for our clients who could be taken advantage of,” she says. “We’re able to steer them clear of those type of people, that helps them quite a bit, and I enjoy that.”

In her personal life, Dea pursues a lot of interests. As her daughter was growing up, Dea coached softball, basketball and competitive cheerleading; the cheerleading team even competed on the West Coast and at national levels. Now, she enjoys time in the garden, reading, golfing, playing card games with family and friends, and going for walks on the beach.

Dea and her husband met in Hawaii in 2010, where they still enjoy the occasional getaway. She moved to Florence to join him, and she says there’s nowhere she’d rather live.

“Being able to live near the ocean was a goal of mine,” she says. “I love the small-town atmosphere and the friendliness of people here.”
