Margaret Tibbets Joins Oregon Pacific Bank’s Executive Team
Oregon Pacific Bank is pleased to announce the hiring of Margaret Holmes Tibbets as the Bank’s newly appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer. Margaret brings with her over 35 years of banking experience at a wide variety of financial institutions, both large and small.
A seventh generation Oregonian, Margaret grew up in the small town of Maupin, Oregon. She graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and was in the University Honors Program. After severing a short stint as an intern in the Oregon State Legislature on the Senate Floor Staff, Margaret eventually delved into the banking industry.
“I have worked in large bank and banking technology companies, but my passion is in community banking,” says Margaret about her chosen career path. “The ability to make a difference in the communities we live and work in is what keeps me most engaged.”
Margaret has a strong background in enterprise risk management, I.T. strategy, and bank operations, including deposit operations, treasury management, and loan operations. As Oregon Pacific Bank’s new Chief Administrative Officer, Margaret will provide direct oversight and guidance to the Bank’s Operations Support, Business Resources, and Information Technology departments. Although Margaret lives in the Eugene community, she will spend time working out of both the Florence and Eugene markets, while supporting the entire organization on the Bank’s executive team.
In addition to direct operational experience, Margaret is also highly skilled when it comes to community development, including fundraising with non-profits and implementing Community Reinvestment Act programs. Margaret recently served on the Campaign Cabinet for United Way of Lane County, and has been involved in United Way for many years as a campaign organizer and fundraiser. Her most recent efforts helped to raise millions of dollars in funds for the fire relief efforts in Northern California during the Fire Storms of 2019.
Outside of work and aside from volunteering, Margaret is also the co-owner of the Woodside Family Ranch located in the southern Wasco County area. In her spare time, Margaret can be found actively engaged in historical research on notable West Coast figures.
“We couldn’t be more pleased to have someone as talented as Margaret Tibbets joining our leadership team,” says Ron Green, President and CEO of Oregon Pacific Bank. “Margaret comes to us with a huge wealth of knowledge. We are confident that her love of collaboration and innovation will have a very positive impact on our organization.”
