Update from Oregon Pacific Bank – March 30th, 2020
To our clients, community members, and friends,
We hope everyone is healthy during this unprecedented time in our world. I wanted to provide you an update on several matters affecting Oregon Pacific Bank.
On Sunday March 29, 2020, the Federal Government extended the national social distancing guidelines through April 30, 2020. To ensure we can create the safest environment for our clients and employees, we will continue our interim operational plan of keeping all lobbies locked through April 30, 2020. We are open for business but ask that you utilize alternative methods to conduct your daily banking; to include our drive through windows, night depository, online and mobile banking, ATM, and by calling your favorite banker. Our local phone center will remain fully staffed to the best of our abilities and are available to serve you. They can be reached at (800) 997-7121.
All meetings with bankers will be conducted over the telephone or through video conferencing. Emergency access to client safe deposit boxes can be scheduled by appointment only.
For our local borrowers
If you are a borrowing client of Oregon Pacific Bank that has been adversely impacted by COVID-19 and it is affecting your ability to make your loan payments, we want to hear from you. We will do everything we can to restructure your loan to assist you during this time.
On Friday, March 27, 2020, the President of the United States signed the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act into law. This is groundbreaking legislation that demonstrates the federal government’s bipartisan desire to help consumers and small businesses through this crisis. One provision of the Act is the Paycheck Protection Program, which allows small businesses to borrow funds so that they may keep their employees paid during the crisis. A portion of the funds borrowed under this temporary loan program may be forgiven, if used for qualifying expenses. Although we are waiting for guidance from the Small Business Administration on how to deliver this loan program, Oregon Pacific Bank will be granting these loans. Please reach out to your relationship manager today if you believe this program could assist your small business. More information and resources can also be found by visiting www.opbc.com/cares
The events that we are all experiencing today can cause significant stress in our lives. Please take care of yourselves and your families and do everything possible to spread kindness and empathy to those around you. We are in this together.
